Other news

Hah! Forgot to mention anything else going on in my life apart from a text editor.

The other night we went to see Jack Dee at the Windsor Arts Centre. Blazingly hot as usual, and he was trying out new material (so it wasn't very good), but fairly entertaining nonetheless.

This morning we spent an hour getting to Reading, because a car had caught fire near the junction. Amazing how something so little (it was on the hard shoulder!) can cause 10 miles of jams. It didn't look as though anyone was hurt, though there was a fire engine pulling up as we drove past, and a police car and other miscellaneous vehicles were already present.

Speaking of jam, I'm enjoying my gooseberry preserve at breakfast-time. How quaint!

SubEthaEdit

… has been updated. Changes:
  • Now prompts you to choose non-commercial or commercial use;
  • Initially seemed slower, but I think it's just the OS;
  • Lots of new options;
  • Syntax highlighting, auto-indenting, and other useful code features.
Oddly, the one thing I don't use this Rendezvous-aware editor for is distributed editing. Heh.

Finished a paper last night — now I'm at a loose end. Drat.

PS. when you install SubEthaEdit, don't forget to back up the original so you can copy the icon across. That neon green is horrible.
