I think it's time to give some link-love to this. I'm tired of being told that piracy funds terrorism and will destroy our society. Bullshit — fuck off.

Lots of other people are also tired of being treated as criminals for having the audacity to attend a screening of a film.

I can only imagine what would happen to a tourist having the gall to bring their video camera into the auditorium with them, rather than pawning it beforehand.

Where do the arseholes who run FACT get their world view from?

Random thoughts on The Day After Tomorrow

• Long on special effects, short on scientific basis
• Heavy on the jingoism, sentimentality, and faith in the human (American) spirit
• Independence Day, but a little more mature, and without Will Smith, and with ice instead of aliens.

Still, quite entertaining, and good weather effects!

I don't think this review shows quite enough respect for the number of people who put a lot of time into that film… oh well. I'll leave reviewing up to the reviewers!
