Cool Oil again

I keep getting hits from various search engines from people looking for Cool Oil, so I suppose I had better write a bit more content than I did previously.

I don't particularly like the taste; my mum doesn't mind it (she says it tastes nutty; I think it tastes like mineral oil). It's a nutritional oil, rich in Omega 3, 6, and 9. The idea is that it's good for you; they recommend you take a tablespoon every day (which, as I recall, is about 130Kcal!). You can put it on salads if you like, though I prefer it mixed with Frijj.

I might be noticing some improvements in my joints, but it's almost imperceptible. If I notice any long-term change, I will (of course!) blog it.

If you want some, you can buy it from some supermarkets, but we got ours direct. For some reason they hardly mention that they sell it themselves, but you can buy it online.

No, I'm not making a buck out of them! I did mention that I don't like the taste, mmm?

Now, Google: do your work!

Rewriting URLs

Well, I just had a nasty hour or so trying to get mod_rewrite to do anything useful — I think it's configured not to like symlinks, so the virtual hosting is screwing it up. Every redirect gets a 403 Error.

Then it seemed to make Apache forget about the .htaccess files, which made http://www.holygoat.co.uk/blog/ not work. Lovely.

My goal was to change

http://www.holygoat.co.uk/blog/index.php?entry=/2004-06-09-2.txt

into

http://www.holygoat.co.uk/blog/2004/06/09/2

but it was not to be. Maybe later.

I've also been thinking about casting my old entries in stone — there are far too many of them, so I could just lock them down into flat HTML files for posterity.

Who'd have thought I'd be able to get so much writing out of so little content?
