Great search tip
Looking for a review or comparison of some product, but keep getting “deal” sites? (Example:
Luminox/G-Shock comparison search.) Here's I tip I just thought of: add
+I to the search string. This tends to throw a review or two to the top of the results, as most shopping pages aren't first-person!
Here's the better search,
getting reviews, opinions, and forums. It's also worth trying other phrases you find in reviews (such as “I thought”), and things like “opinion” and other discriminators.

Project thought: Gmail
Now, Safari can do Gmail quite capably. However, it's troublesome to work with multiple accounts, and sometimes keyboard shortcuts go to Safari rather than Gmail.
Now, why not write a simple Cocoa application that keeps track of Gmail accounts as a preference, allowing you to switch between them. All the mail functionality takes place in a WebKit view, to which the wrapper forwards keypresses. Voila! More usable Gmail, without having to launch Safari (a plus for me, as it's the only site I can't use OmniWeb for in its current version).
Takers? Or should I do it?
