More Gizmodo wit

Mixed feelings on this European news tidbit, about how soccer hooligans are using cellphones in lieu of knives and crowbars. On the one hand, it's great to see outmoded gadgets put to some use, apart from cluttering up closets and landfills. On the other, I'll bet that getting pegged in the forehead by a Nokia handset hurts like nobody's business. Though I guess that serves some wankers right for rooting for Blackburn Rovers.

CD Baby

CD Baby is dangerous. Firstly, they have decent prices and a huge range. Secondly, they have high-quality MP3 streams (2 minutes of each song) for 4 tracks from each album.

My cart is growing worryingly large. I blame the weak dollar.

Update: $70 later… should be able to get a present or two out of those! Even if some of the presents are for me!

Loftmusic

Another Thea Gilmore album incoming… a collection of covers. I'm definitely heading towards “album completist” status (I don't normally go in for singles).

I'm browsing Amazon and suchlike for Christmas presents at the moment. Hard to resist some things!
