Four-year heroin binge

A superb posting from Alexander Payne, of which this is the standout line:

Murky Coffee (formerly Common Grounds): the late afternoon/after-work crowd is tormented with only the most excrutiating tracks from The Velvet Underground & Nico. Now don't get me wrong, I like me some Lou Reed, and I'm first to put the Velvets on when its getting on in the day on a Tuesday and I've nothing better to do than go on a four year heroin binge.

I am a professional spy

I just managed to enter my house, sit down, see the dog, &c, and totally fail to notice that all of the Christmas decorations had gone. The tree and lights outside the house, the tinsel, the tree inside, the dangling stuff everywhere.

I'm sharp today. “Mr. Observant”, that's me.
