More CDs
Rather than sleeping, I rather foolishly went for a run (very cold, chest hurts) and decided to order some CDs. I refined down my order from 3 Aislers Set albums* down to 1 (Terrible Things Happen), and tacked on Music For Airports (which verycheapcds2 at Amazon failed to obtain for me) and Her Majesty The Decemberists, which I've been meaning to get for ages.I had such success with my last Marketplace order that I'm using the same seller again; £26.39 shipped from Canada, versus Amazon UK's £35.97. I've also found Pricenoia to be very interesting; it's galling to find that it's often cheaper to pay extortionate shipping from Amazon US or Canada than to pay Amazon UK in GBP. Pricenoia even have a bookmarklet that you can use when looking at any Amazon product. Recommended.
I'm still waiting for my last 7 or 8 CDs from Amazon, actually… and a DVD or two from elsewhere… oh, and a couple of t-shirts. Conspicuous consumption ‘R’ us.
Just thought — it's really about time that I implemented categories on this blog. Half of my readers don't give a toss about my CDs, and the other half couldn't care less about Applescript and Lisp! Bugger it.
* Just in case… I like the MP3s I've got, but we'll see about a whole album. John Peel liked them, so hey!
