Photo schema

My (slightly ad-hoc) photo schema is now up, supporting iPhotoRDF. The namespace is http://www.holygoat.co.uk/owl/2005/05/photo/, at which is an RDF/XML representation.

I've reused and linked where I can (e.g. to Danny's w6 schema), but I failed to find properties for source files, file sizes, some location properties, unit properties, pixels, aspect ratios, and a couple of others.

Up next are the queries, I suppose….

iPhotoRDF

Ah, that's better. A 2am finish last night, and all this morning, and it's done. I'm yet to upload the schema, but I've tested the plugin on two machines and it runs (and the output validates). It's not been tested on iPhoto 4, but I'd wager it won't work as expected (if at all)!

iPhotoRDF is an iPhoto exporter that outputs RDF for your images, and maps your keywords into N3 templates. In future it will also rummage through the EXIF data, upload through HTTP POST, and attempt to find out album information. Until then, have a play around, and let me know any problems or suggestions.

Coming soon: some potted SPARQL queries, and perhaps even a Web-based photo browser….
