FFS

Possibly the most stupid thing in Tiger's Mail*: you can create nested hierarchies of mailboxes, but you can't put a condition into a Smart Mailbox that respects the hierarchy.

E.g., I have a folder “Unimportant Stuff”, in which I have folders for my SEWORLD and Zetoc subscriptions, among other things. I don't want unread mails in these folders to appear in my faux-inbox Smart Mailbox, so I add a filter: “Message is not in Mailbox: Unimportant Stuff”.

Oh look, the mails are still there.

OK, as mailboxes can contain messages and mailboxes it might be useful to distinguish between the top level and the hierarchy, but please: a message in “Zetoc” is in “Unimportant Stuff”. Let me write a rule that understands that! Jeez.

* Yes, even more stupid than the toolbar buttons!
