Javascript success

If you're using Firefox you'll now notice that you can see how many comments and trackbacks an entry has received.

This required a little bit of Javascript thrashing — I had to rewrite two HaloScan functions to return strings, rather than writing them into the document. The comment links are then crawled, and their contents replaced by the return value of the function. The only necessary addition was tagging the comment links with classes and IDs to enable them to be found.

MapleMusic, Memphis

My order from MapleMusic arrived this morning, and (as is my way when I receive excellent service) I thought I'd share.

The delivery took only 5 days (including Bank Holiday weekend) from Canada; everything (including a 7" single) was immaculately packed, and email service was brilliant.

The actual items were good, too — I'm listening to Memphis at the moment, and it's cracking. I love music. Not a bad day, too!
