Roundup
- Daniel Barlow amuses me:
- July 7th: not killed by terrorist attacks. Not able to get to work either: so it goes.
- … I can see why people buy Macs: because Apple don't have an "unstable" version for public release …
- I really ought to try out cl-blog…
- … especially when Christopher Schmidt has been so kind as to give me a shell account. Look for another oddly-named domain at some point.
- I'm still getting used to the fact that I can't email or post in the afternoon and expect a reply from anyone in Europe! I must curtail my impatience.
- I'm now reading The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. Perhaps I'm starting up my reading habit again! It seems good so far, but I don't know how he's going to sustain the idea for another 220 pages.

My feline friend

Bubba on my chair
One of Jenny's cats, Bubba, is quite a character. He also seems to be quite fond of me — or, at least, my lap, bed, and closet.
Today alone I have caught him in my bath, perched on a railing by the living area, hiding on one of my shirts in my closet, and doing his usual trick of climbing up behind me on my chair (in order to clamber into my lap).
Thus, I present to you — a blog post full of cat photos. Enjoy.
These are cropped thumbnails, so click for the big picture.

I've just started hacking category support into the tangled nightmare of PHP that is this highly-evolved blog engine.
You can hopefully see the links below. They don't work yet, and neither does filtering (
e.g., in my RSS feeds), but that might come with time.
Sometime I'll write a decent RDF-backed blog engine… I'd have done it by now, but this server doesn't support Lisp. Oh well.
Update: hmm, it broke for no apparent reason. Time to start again….
