Jen just got home, and gave me a witty card and an espresso machine. How cool is that?

(I wonder if she's prepared for me twitching around the house, hopped up on caffeine?)

Happy birthday to us: an open letter

Happy birthday to my brother Anthony, to my friend Katie, and to myself, each of us fortunate enough to have been born on this day so many years ago.

Thank you to all of the thoughtful females I know for texting me this morning (thoughtful enough to wake me up at 6am! Heh!), and to those who sent cards, even when I'm so far away. Thanks, too, to those who emailed. A big thank you to Lisa — that's the best e-Card I've ever received. And to the lass who promised birthday beers: I won't forget! ☺

Tellme has so far given me a t-shirt and two buttons, which superbly meets my souvenir requirements! Jenny's taking me for dinner, then it's the pub with the gang.
