Getting things done

Not a bad day today! I had a good, if slightly prolonged lunch, but work then proceeded apace until after 7pm*, when I actually went for a 3 mile run with Elaina. (I also got to drive her car, which was entertaining, and remarkably trusting of her!)

A bit of guitar, some food, and (now that Shannon has gone to bed) settling down with Brian Eno to do some more work. Sometimes I feel like I'm running out of time to get things done….

Another notable thing today: I actually spoke to Danny on Skype, which was a little surreal — I've known him online for some time, so associating him with a voice is a little bit of a change.

* 3am on the 30th, for those still on British time!

Wilbur surprise

OK… so, I get Wilbur working on both Allegro Common Lisp and SBCL, on two different architectures. It's easier than I thought.

I try my libraries (wilbur-ext, wilbur-web, and twinql). To my enormous surprise, they simply work — at least, they load, and trying out their functionality produces the expected results.

I remain sceptical; I'm sure something will go wrong later. But, for now, I feel quite grateful for the reduced workload!

Congratulations to Anthony on passing his motorcycle test with flying colours. You rule, brüder.

asdf should strive to be a bold decision maker.

(maybe)
I think it's awesome, anyway, so that gets past his EULA!
