Before I go back to sleep
“Sheest” is a much better word for bed coverings than “sheets”.
I can hear the cars
shushing past on the wet road… that's a nice sound. You don't hear it much in California.

Ambimoustrous
Example 1: When someone asked how many of us were left-handed, Dick Gabriel said that he was partially ambidextrous, to which Guy Steele volunteered that he was ambimoustrous. I like.
Ah, so that's what the word is. Ever since I got awful RSI in my right wrist, I've been using my mouse with my left — apart from on other people's machines, where I can naturally use my right.

3am again
Oh dear, another day has slipped into the next… I shall have to stop doing this.
At least it was a
good day, filled with deliveries of all kinds, inbound and outbound — a welcome FedEx delivery led to a UPS shipment of my own
*, and there were a dozen other things sent, too! The afternoon slid by until I ended up in the pub; I got to see some former workmates and old friends for the first time in a long while.
Then, as usual, 11pm until 3am was my work time! It's perhaps not healthy, but it seems to be working for the moment.
