Bach

Radio 3 will play Bach's complete works, uninterrupted, for 10 days. Finally, my chance to be properly acquainted with a classical corpus!

Oh, wait. Wrong country. Perhaps I'll give streaming a try.

Sundays

It has turned into something of a ritual for me to spend Sunday lunchtimes at the Dana Street Roasting Co.*. I ride the light rail in, appreciating the morning air, walk past the market — music, people, fruit, children — then savour a coffee and a tuna melt. Light sunshine warms the room, Sunday papers rustle, my pen scratches on my pad, and music (today: the Jackie Brown soundtrack) accompanies the rehearsal of my habit in the company of like-minded folk.

I even managed to get some PhD work done. Go me.

* And, indeed, the rest of my week, too!
