Football and guitars

Last night, a surprising number of Tellmes — not all in one group, I might add! — went to watch the USA vs. Japan World Cup practice game (final score: 3–2 USA).

The organisation was appalling; enormous queues, both to collect tickets and at the front gate, had us reach our seats by half time. Still, it was a fun evening out.

This afternoon Elaina and I had a late lunch, and, in a sudden burst of impulsive self-gratification, I bought another guitar. Acoustic, sounds delicious.

The store, this time, was Noe Valley Music. Bloody good place. I even had the opportunity to discover that I suck at mandolin. Ah, well.

This evening: dinner and drinks with Sam, and I'm now going to drive back up to the City. Good times, good times.

Update: it's been pointed out to me that it's 6 months to the day between each purchase of a guitar. “Uncanny”, apparently.
