What have I become?
I just had such a pressing and inexplicable urge to hear
We Don't Talk Anymore by Cliff Richard that I bought it on iTunes, and am now listening to it in all of its awful, middle-of-the-road, Radio 2-style glory. I'm tapping my foot a little.
What have I become?

A decadent dinner
Ah, bliss. Good pork loin, pan-seared in olive oil, herbs, and stout mustard, with fresh vegetables on the side. Fresh blackberries and blueberries. Three-quarters of a bottle of “Pinot Evil”. Some dark chocolate. A visit from the neighbours' beautiful cat, who we've named Maquerelle. Some fresh-ground coffee in a little while.
Then I go and spoil it all by doing something stupid like watching the rest of
The Chronicles of Riddick. Again.
Come back, Elaina! I'll cook for you! :)

The wonders of modern technology
A relatively-crystal-clear mobile phone call, all the way from California to Rome. Much better. It's hard to imagine, now, how travel was 100, or even 30, years ago, when communication was by letter, telegram, or expensive land-line.
