Lots of pain

I'm currently hopped up on topically-applied benzocaine and 1400mg of ibuprofen: yes, it's tooth-whitening time. We only got half-way through the procedure (ultraviolet-activated peroxide bleach) before the pain started, and started hard, so I'm back for more on Monday.

I think the aftermath is the most painful thing I've ever experienced — including appendicitis and fillings — and I'm relying on big doses of painkillers to get me through. At least the pain isn't constant… but then again, I think that's actually the worst bit.
