Vim and Caps Lock

My new Kinesis keyboard (full writeup and photos to come, but suffice to say I'm writing this entry on it) has remappable keys. I know it's quite common for Emacs users to remap Caps Lock to Control, reducing “emacs pinky”.

As a Vim user, I was surprised to find that remapping Caps Lock to Escape, and learning to use hjkl for the arrow keys, offers a similar level of relief. No more straining for Escape to switch modes! Give it a try.
