Mobile Monday at Nokia

Tobin, Yuzo, and I went to NRC Palo Alto this evening for Mobile Monday. Lots of fun people who clearly enjoy their work, cool technology, etc.… outshadowed, for me, by being able to get my hands on an E90.

The screen is almost as good as the N800's, the keyboard and build quality are amazing, it's twice as fast as an E61, and it's not even that big (compared to the 9500, for example). It feels as expensive as it is.

I'm in a difficult situation… web browsing on my phone is nowhere near as enjoyable as it would be on either the E90 or the N800 — the screen is too small — but carrying the E90 all the time would be a bear (not to mention the price). A small smartphone (E61, E70, or E65) plus an N800 would be great, but carrying two devices almost immediately relegates me to manbag territory. The price of two devices adds up to the price of the E90, and I miss out on the integration, GPS, and camera.

I have just described the dictionary definition of a first-world problem. As my mum would say, I have more money than sense.
