A retrospective

I just realised the number of things from the past week that I've not yet written about (for posterity, if nothing else).
Monday
Monday saw me at Sam's to watch the Packers game. Drinking Miller High Life out of bottles, eating Brats, and watching Elaina get Range to try to eat 5 saltine crackers in a minute. (He didn't succeed). That was a… nice night.

Thanks, Sam — you're awesome.
Tuesday
Two weeks to the day until I land in Heathrow. Doesn't time fly?
Wednesday
Don and I were in Oakland for lunch to meet with Jans Aasman and John Foderaro of Franz. It was a pretty good meeting — possibly more to report later.
Thursday
In John's honour we all turned out at St. Steven's Green. I nipped off for a while to eat some sushi with Elaina before her football game, but then I joined the rest at Range's for some Mickey's (Milwaukee's finest!). Here's to you, John.
Friday
I've spent most of the rest of the work week pushing bits of code around to help with portability and software installation, so it was a pleasure to go for lunch with Liz; there was something of a celebratory atmosphere, because I am aware of how many opportunities I have. Life is good.
Today is my day. Other than answering the usual email, I'm going to read — perhaps at the Dana Street Roasting Company — and relax. I ought to get on with the personal work I've been neglecting, but… perhaps another time.
