Darkness

It doesn't seem two weeks since it was a long English summer, and I was sitting on this very sofa, having to close the living room curtains because it was too bright to work, and trying to find something to do on paper, so I could sit outside in the sunshine.

Now it's 4:15 in the afternoon, the rose bushes are slapping the window in the wind, it's been grey and rainy all day, and I need the lights on to see what I'm doing.

At least I have tea. England, I love you.
