Poetic mashups

An idea came to me just now — styles of poetry with core features removed. For your enjoyment, then: a limerick that is neither humorous nor ribald.

A blossom tree grew in our garden
Now the sun urges concrete to harden
I miss that old tree
For now I can see
Sad birds with nothing to perch on.

Next up: jovial haiku.
