More GeekTool hacking

I just spent a couple of hours putting together a task-tracking system. This consists of:
  • todo.sh for task tracking
  • ical2rem, wget, iCal, and GroupCal to fetch my Exchange and Google Calendar calendars as .ics files and crunch them into Remind format (with some sed post-processing)
  • cron entries to do that every hour or two
  • GeekTool to show the output on my desktop.
I now have my corporate and Google calendars on my desktop, merged together, with their tasks showing. Above that I have my own task tracker, showing GTD-style projects and contexts.

I've got ideas about sniffing hostname to modify which tasks show up (contexts!), but I might leave that for now….
