Screw you, Royal Armouries

No, I will not pledge to not carry a knife. I have carried a knife every day for years, and it is more useful than these sheeple realise. Knives are not weapons; they are tools. People carrying knives is not a problem; violent people stabbing other people is a problem, and it has its own causes. If they don't use a knife, violent people will use a brick, or a shoe, or a pipe. Treat the causes.

Banning guns in the UK has not reduced the number of gun-related crimes. Why would getting people to pledge not to carry knives have any effect on knife crime? They are self-selecting an audience. I needn't mention that most knife carry in the UK is already illegal… oh, and stabbing people is a crime, too.

Anyone want to found a new country?
