Spyderco Caly 3 disassembly

I Googled to find out how to take apart and clean my carbon fiber Caly 3, and came up empty handed. Here's my brief overview for those who come after me.

Use a 3/32 inch allen key (or, better, a 2.5mm metric allen key; the Imperial one will do, but it's not a perfect fit) to unscrew the pivot screw, then push out the pivot itself. Make sure you look at the pivot when you push it out, because you need to put it back in the right way up. The blade is now free; be careful.

The lock bar will probably spring up at this point. Don't worry about grabbing hold of it, because it's held in place by one of the pins in the handle. Just slide the blade out to clean it. Apply some oil; not too much, because you're only going to have to mop it up later!

Hold the lock bar down when you're putting the blade back in. The pivot has a flat spot on the top; keep it at the right orientation, then push it through. Tighten the pivot screw until the action is as you desire. As you tighten, oil will squeeze out of the joint. C'est la vie.
