First impressions of the GPhone

I got the opportunity to handle one this afternoon. My best shot at describing it in one sentence is “like a Windows Mobile phone crossed with an iPhone”. It's got a touchscreen that feels pretty good, so no stylus, but no multi-touch for zooming. It's got the great keyboard and build quality of a typical HTC WM device, but after an iPhone it feels like it has too many buttons. I typed slower on the physical keyboard than I do on the iPhone's screen. The fonts are beautiful, but it's slower than I would like.

I'd definitely buy one rather than WM, but I don't think it's enough to win me away from the iPhone… at least, not yet.
